Broken Bow Bass Report

Lake Broken Bow Oklahoma fishing guide Bryce Archey.Fishing guide Bryce Archey sends us this report from Lake Broken Bow:

Fishing has been excellent with quality largemouth being caught. The last couple of outings have produced multiple fish weighing over 5lbs apiece. We have also been catching really nice smallmouth bass with the biggest weighing just under 5lbs.

I am now booking for February and beyond for this year. Dates are already going fast in March, April, and May but I am still pretty open in February. Anyone interested in booking a trip with me needs to call ASAP because the dates still open will be gone soon.

Editor's Note: Thanks for the picture and report Bryce...nice bass! Call Bryce at 580-494-6447 or 870-582-4561. Visit his website at www.brokenbowlakeguide.com. BTW - Bryce, are you a proud pappa now???

New Lure Sponsor for 2008

River Bottom Lures, soft plastic baits, bass fishing luresPlease join me in welcoming River Bottom Lures, our newest sponsor for 2008!

River Bottom makes a fantastic line of soft creature baits including Possum Craw, Craw Pad, Get Shad, Getsems, Finesse Worm and Get Stick (my favorite).
One of the things I especially like about River Bottom Lures is that they all float. I plan on using the Get Stick around the lily pads - mimicking a small snake - to land my huge Hawg this year.

Check out the entire line at www.RiverBottomLures.com or call them at 870-547-2915.

Texoma Fishing Report - Catfish

Lake Texoma fishing report, lake texoma catfish, blue catfish, catfish tipsAvid fisherman Jason P. sends in this fishing report on catfish at Lake Texoma:

These are some catfish caught down at Lake Texoma on Friday. They were both pulled off juglines. I don't wanna tell my spot, but I will say we are catching them at about 40 feet right on bottom on top of submerged railroads and old roadbeds that travel across deep channels.

My father and his friends have been running the lines during the week and they said they have been catching lots of smaller fish in the 4-10 lb range using the same methods and same areas.
Also, we use only worms to catch them. We have tried many other baits including large live baits to NO avail.

Worms have been the only success story to date.
Well, until next time, hope everyone is having a terrific new year and getting outdoors enjoying some of this abnormal warmer weather.....

Editor's Note:
Thanks for the report and pics Jason! Those are some nice blue cats. How much did they weigh??
